Demographics Served

MY CURRENT ROLE... allows me to teach art to multiple demographics. On a monthly basis I work with senior citizens through the local nursing home/extend care facilities and the VA Hospital. On a monthly basis I also work with children who have developmental behaviors. During the school year I work with rural school students, local adult students and the local after school program. In the summers I work with the local kids during the summer art program. The Art Centers website is: www.ccac.milescity.org

AUCTION!

Well, I went to an Auction. Came home with 3 truck loads of furniture and about 7 boxes of misc. hardware. I even have some use for some of the stuff. Just putting the finishing touches on the Christmas Letter. Marie and I set, plumbed & caulked in the kitchen sink today. Turn the handle and water comes out. No leaks - yet. I am squaring off with the bathroom this week. Hope to have the toilet and tub in by Saturday.

New Rug

Samuel and Jack are doing some "tiling" of their own. We got our new rug!

Photos

Tile in the Bathroom! New Sink Construction! Samuel wanted a 2nd Thanksgiving. Marie went to the store Friday morning and grabbed a Turkey. The boys set the table and decorated the Turkey with sage and pomegrante(?) seeds. Marie and I installed the light above the sink. We put in a junction box in the basement, drilled holes for the switch and the light. Wire nuts galore and flipped the switch!

Photo Update

Okay! Samuel is applying joint compound (plaster) on the wall where the old sink was. There was a teeny dishwasher from the 50s that we also took out. There is a picture of me running the floor sander in the kitchen-the drum sander. The DUMP sink. We decided the chips were not going to get patched before we moved in. So I bought a new sink at the ReStore run by Habitat for Humanity in Billings. Samuel and Jack applying the first coats of La Terra. The bathroom floor after I tore out the carpet!

Dump Day

I should of snapped a photo of the 2 huge dump loads. But I think I'll take a picture of the awesome Kohler cast iron sink that we found. Paid $1.00 for it. It has a few minor chips in the enamel. I am going to try and repair them. If they can not be fixed we'll shop Home Depot for a comparable $300.00 model.

Sam is ready to go Wednesday morning. I snuck over early Wednesday and tore up some of the carpet in the kitchen. A test tear. The layers were foam carpet, glue, linoleum, glue, tar paper, glue. You can see the sludge application that demolished the final layer of glue and tar paper. Marie is scraping away. The kitchen sink, toilet and claw foot tub are all out. We are going to get a new (bigger) kitchen sink. We will reinstall the tub and toilet after we tile the bathroom. We are going over today to scrap more walls and re-plaster the cracks.
